Owens Industries is hiring a 1st shift Deburring Technician in Oak Creek, WI.
This role is responsible for precision hand-finishing, deburring, polishing and visual inspection of tight-tolerance machined components used in aerospace, defense and other high-spec industries. Candidates should have experience in deburring, polishing, machining, manufacturing or precision assembly, with strong attention to detail and the ability to protect critical dimensions while removing burrs, sharp edges and machining imperfections. Pay range is $20-26 hourly, based on experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Deburr and hand-finish precision machined components made from Inconel, Titanium, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Monel, and other exotic alloys.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, and machining imperfections while maintaining critical dimensions.
- Perform visual inspections using microscopes, magnification equipment, and precision measuring tools.
- Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain part traceability and proper handling throughout the manufacturing process.
- Work closely with Machining, Quality, and Engineering teams.
- Identify and report defects, non-conformances, and quality concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Previous experience in deburring, polishing, manufacturing, machining, or precision assembly.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and documentation.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Preferred:
- Aerospace, defense, medical device, or precision manufacturing experience.
- Blueprint reading experience.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and microscopes.
- Knowledge of AS9100 quality systems.
- Experience working with tight-tolerance machined components.
