Unique capabilities with 5 axis machining and EDM - While we certainly have the usual modern 4 axis CNC Machining centers, CNC Lathes and CNC Swiss Turning Centers with Live tooling, accurate grinders, hones and lapping equipment, it is our advanced 5 axis machining centers and Wire EDM that give us additional and unique capabilities.

Micron Level Tolerances - 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC Milling with tolerances from millionth's to thousandth's of an inch. Speaking in metric, our best work was to achieve a tolerance of 0.5 micron (of course in a very special situation and frankly it is not normally possible even for us). Tolerances in the 3 to 10 microns range are easily achieved.

5 Axis - In 5 Axis machining, we can achieve an angular tolerance of two thousandth's of a degree (.002°). We are happy to take on prototype or production machining work.

RAM EDM - We specialize in Electrical Discharge Machining Work. We have special Plunge/Sink EDM to produce fine detail/surface finish work, precision gears and intricate cavities/shapes.

Of course, we perform the "normal" CNC Machining work too - Our simpler 3 or 4 Axis CNC Precision Machine Work and CNC lathe work would have tolerances in the range of 20 to 100 micron (.0008" to .004").

Micro Machining - We perform miniature and micromachining using Wire EDM, Sink EDM and 5 Axis machining centers. In addition, we also offer, through our affiliate, Photolithography & Micro/Meso-Mechanical Manufacturing (“layered build up using non metallic composites”) of 3 dimensional components (example applications: Collimators and MEMS)

Work Envelope Size - Our commitment to ultra precision work limits the size of our work envelope to a maximum of: X:24", Y:14", Z:12".

CNC Lathes/Turning Centers - For our CNC Lathe/Turning department, we generally work with diameters under 2" but our maximum capacity is 14".

Limited Grinding Work - While we do have grinders, we do not accept production-grinding work. We use our grinders exclusively to support our complex project work.

Deburring - Our deburring department has 30 Power Magnification Microscopes at every station and our employees are trained and skilled in micro deburring.
