We offer Micron Tolerance Wire EDM services for the “impossible” to achieve components. We don't mean to belittle our competitors. There are excellent Wire EDM shops that do high volume of work and offer varied capabilities in Wire EDM. How ever, our market and niche is different and small. Owens Industries offers very specialized Wire EDM Services: High precision .001” wire capabilities allowing a corner radius of .0015”. We can also offer sub micron positional accuracies: We have achieved positional accuracies of even .05µm but 3µm to 5µm are more common. Our Wire EDM machines have glass scales with 0.1µm resolution. They have been specially calibrated and aligned with laser equipment and are maintained in a very well controlled temperature & clean room atmosphere.

In addition, we teamed up with European and Japanese manufacturers to develop proprietary and highly accurate true 5 Axis Wire EDM systems. We can offer true rotary axis indexing Wire EDM. Our Sink EDM capabilities are not unusual. They are quite suitable to complement our other “unusual” talents & machines.

We also offer close tolerance 5 Axis CNC Machining and super precision lathe work. We can therefore produce components that need varied machining processes.
